Review: Talk That Talk (Deluxe Edition) by Rihanna

One year after from Rihanna’s successful album “Loud”, a solid Dance-pop album, Rihanna (Robyn Rihanna Fenty) is releasing her new album “Talk That Talk” that focus in Hip Hop/R&B and Dance rhythms. This album stays between “Loud” and “Rated R” because is not a strong Dance album like Loud, and not so Hip Hop and melancholic like Rated R (I personally like only two songs from Rated R).

Since i heard “We Found Love”, a contagious song rhythms, I thought that the whole album would be more “Dance”, “Hot” and catchy, but is actually an equilibrated album with the kind of sound that Rihanna has created in her six years of career.

The deluxe album version has 14 new songs, and 1 remix of “We Found Love” with a total of 15 tracks. Rihanna has co-writing five of the album’s songs: “You Da One”, “Birthday Cake”, “Watch n’ Learn”, “Red Lipstick” and  “Do Ya Thang”.

No. Song Writer(s) Length
1. You Da One

An It’s okay Hip Hop song, nothing specially interesting in this song.

Ester Dean, Lukasz Gottwald, Robyn Fenty (Rihanna), John Hill, Henry Walter 3:20
2. “Where Have You Been”

This Dance song is simple but catchy, easily can be the next hit.

Dean, Gottwald, Calvin Harris, Walter, Geoff Mack 4:02
3. We Found Love(featuring Calvin Harris)

The First single from the album, and the top Dance song from the album. That’s why you could think that all the album sounds like in that way….but not.

Calvin Harris 3:35
4. “Talk That Talk” (featuring Jay-Z)

A Hip Hop song featuring Jay-Z is a solid song and probably the next single.

Dean, Mikkel S. Eriksen, Tor E. Hermansen, Shawn Carter, Anthony Best, Sean Combs, Carl Thompson, Christopher Wallace 3:29
5. “Cockiness (Love It)”

.
..I really don’t like this song, is very repetitive, and only focus on sex suggestions

Candice Pillay, D. Loernathy, Shondrae Crawford, Fenty 2:58
6. “Birthday Cake”

…No comments, hear it and hate it.

Terius Nash, Robyn Fenty (Rihanna), Marcos Palacios, Earnest Clark 1:18
7. “We All Want Love”

This song is one of the more fresh from the album.

Dean, Ernest Wilson, Steve Wyreman, Kevin Randolph 3:57
8. “Drunk on Love”

For this kind of songs is that this album is similar “Rated R”  like R&B dark ballad.

Dean, Eriksen, Hermansen, Baria Qureshi, Romy Croft, Oliver Sim, Jamie Smith 3:32
9. “Roc Me Out”

Another repetitive and no-catchy song.

Dean, Eriksen, Hermansen, Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen 3:29
10. “Watch n’ Learn”

This tune is very representative from Rihanna’s style, with percussion and drums like a tropical r&b/pop song.

Priscilla Renea, Chauncey Hollis, Robyn Fenty (Rihanna), Alja Jackson 3:31
11. “Farewell”

A strong ballad about say goodbye, and accepting the break up. A A possible hit.

Dean, Alexander Grant 4:16
12. “Red Lipstick”

This is an example of what should not be done.

Terius Nash, Robyn Fenty (Rihanna), James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, William Kennard & Saul Milton 3:37
13. “Do Ya Thang”

Is not is great song, but is okay. Is the kind of song that is used to appear in a movie OST.

Terius Nash &Robyn Fenty (Rihanna) 3:43
14. “Fool In Love”

Since “Love The Way You Lie”, we are starting to see Rihanna’s another face, more sensitive, and maybe this kind of song will be more frequently in her repertory.

Esther Dean, Lukasz Gottwald & Henry Walter 4:16
15. “We Found Love (Calvin Harris Extended Mix)”

I truly believe that a remix is not the same without David Guetta, he gave an identity to each song in an electronic way, that why today’s remixes sounds very lazy for me because the DJs barely put some beats before the song starts and they change the song Tempo, and that’s all, you’ve got the remix…that’s why Guetta is so successful.

Calvin Harris 5:45

Lindsay Lohan & Anna Jagodzinska

Her last appearance on the big screen was on the Robert Rodriguez’s film “MACHETE”

Lindsay Lohan starts her career very early like child fashion model, but at that time nobody would have imagined there would pose in Playboy or Maxim but she achieved her best photo shoot for Vanity Fair Magazine.

Setting aside her personals problem (well-known), she has more than 15 films in her career like actress, and two albums like singer since her debut in the Freaky Friday soundtrack.

International Model

This 24 years old girl is a Polish fashion model has walked for well-known brands like Prada, Louis Vuitton, DKNY, Alexander McQueen, etc. In 2009 she walked in the Victoria Secret Fashion Show for the first time.

Anna Jagodzinska usually do not look too much like Lindsay, if you look for in google you will realize, but in the Victoria Secret Fashion Show 2009, it’s like Lindsay was there instead of Anna..maybe it’s the makeup that makes them look so identical.
